Individual membership of Pétanque England is open to petanque players of all ages and abilities, and includes membership of one of our 18 Regions.
Players who do not belong to a PE-affiliated club are welcome to join as independent members of their local Region by selecting “unaffiliated” from the club list when registering.
There are two membership options for adult players (18 years and older on 31st December in the current year):
Junior Membership is available for players who are under 18 years old on 31st December in the current year, and this includes a playing license.
Honorary Life Membership is awarded by the Pétanque England Board to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to our sport.
All membership types include our comprehensive insurance cover.

The membership period is from 1st April to 31st March. When joining after October 1st the subscription will carry through to the end of the following year.
The total amount you pay comprises both the National and Regional fees.
You can request transfer of your membership to another club by using the ‘Transfers’ feature in the Sport:80 platform. Contact your Regional Membership Secretary if you need help with this.
Where the change of club also involves a change of region then please contact the National Membership Secretary.
Clubs that are affiliated members of Pétanque England also belong to a PE Region, and can enter teams in PE leagues and other club competitions such as the EuroCup. Individual players must have a playing licence to compete. Clubs usually affiliate to the Region in which their playing venue is located, but may elect to join a neighbouring region if it is more suitable.
The annual club affiliation fee is £35.
Clubs that are affiliating for the first time can start with as few as 3 individual PE members members of Petanque England, who must include the club’s Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer. However, by the time of their first renewal (i.e. the following March) the club must have at least 6 PE members and maintain that number to retain their affiliated status.
