St George's Adult/Junior Doubles

The event is at Oxshott PC, Steel’s Lane, Oxshott, KT22 0RF on Saturday 20.4.24, registration from 0915hrs, first boule at 1000hrs. This is a
national Petanque England Event and as such the teams need to wear matching tops and bottoms, matching tops are essential – if that has not already been organised please contact each other and sort it;

We currently have 12 entries. If things remain as they are we will play three leagues of four in the morning moving into a Gold and Silver knock out competitions in the afternoon. The league matches will be timed at 50mins + one end, if the scores are level at that point one more end will be played when the jack will be marked and replaced if it goes dead.  The quarter finals in the afternoon will follow the same format. The semi-finals and finals will be played to 13 points and not timed.

We are fortunate to be able to use the excellent facilities of Oxshott and we would like to thank John Renton, Ann Pickering and their crew for their support.

Attached here is a menu of food available in the clubhouse at lunchtime.  I would encourage you to use the Club catering facilities, which I have always found to be excellent, it is one way we can give a little back to our hosts.  Menu choices need to be emailed to Jeff by Wednesday 17.4.24  (address on the menu).

*There will be a shooting competition which the juniors are welcome to enter but it is voluntary.  We are grateful to Mark Duncan and Steve Read for running this.*
