Saturday 8.6.24 brought sunshine and the clatter of petanque boule to the Porchester P.C. on the south coast. The annual Southern Counties adult/junior championships provided a display of high quality petanque that was not just from the juniors, with some hugely competitive matches.
A high quality final saw Regional President Steve Lombard team up with 13 year old Alex to take the title 13-11
with victory over Mark Robertshaw and his partner 14yr old Lewis.
The semi finals featured 11yr old Oscar, playing his first ever competition partnering his Dad Tomasz;
and Tristan playing with Dave Stubbs.
Eleven teams entered from four Clubs. The ages ranged from 9yrs – 17yrs with the prizes going to those in the middle.
