Petanque England Juniors held their autumn Inter-Regional Coaching day at Gravesend on Saturday 19.10.24.
Twelve young players attended from Eastern, GWR, Heart of England, Mercia, Southern and Kent with a wide range of abilities from those starting on their petanque journey to those who recently represented England at the European Championships.
Gravesend were great hosts and all were appreciative of the covering over the pistes during the rainy morning.
The day was organised by Jamie Finley and he brought along five Kent coaches who shared their expertise with the juniors and were supplemented by John Emondson, John Geddes and Matt Warren. After a morning of coaching the youngsters had a chance to put their lessons into action with timed games in the afternoon.
The juniors and their drivers went home happy, all thankful for a great day of fun filled petanque.
We strongly encourage all juniors who take part in competitions or training days to share their unique experiences with us.
