Format and arrangements for SSE1 Weekend

WOMEN
- 7 Triples Teams entered as below:

- Draw takes place following registration (between 0815 and 0900 on Saturday and 0800 and 0830 on the Sunday).
- 1 x league of 4, 1 x league of 3 (with bye).
- Untimed games.
- Top two teams in each league go through to an afternoon ‘A’ league, remaining three go into ‘B’ league.
- At end of afternoon leagues, the ‘A’ league will rank the teams 1st to 4th while the ‘B’ league will rank the teams 5th to 7th.
- Points are then allocated to teams as follows:
- 1st – 30
- 2nd – 24
- 3rd – 16
- 4th – 10
- 5th – 6
- 6th – 4
- 7th – 2
- On the Sunday, the same format is followed but placings are used from the Saturday to seed into the morning leagues.

- Morning: 4 x round Swiss System.
- Timed games = 1 hr and 15 minutes plus two ends if match is level. If still level after two additional ends, one further sudden death end where the jack cannot be displaced. Note that a new end is deemed to have started when the final boule of the previous end has come to a rest.
- At end of Swiss rounds, teams ranked 1 – 8 enter seeded Quarter Finals of ‘A’ while teams ranked 9 – 14 enter ‘B’. Teams ranked 9th and 10th after Swiss get bye to Semi Final of ‘B’.
- Tie break if necessary based (in order) on BhN, then fBhN, then points difference and finally total points.
- Afternoon: ‘A’ and ‘B’ knockout based on untimed games.
- Points are then allocated to teams as follows:

Losing Semi Finalists x 2 – 16
Losing Quarter Finalists x 4 – 10 - ‘B’ knockout

Losing Semi Finalists x 2 – 2

- ‘A’ knockout
- Winner, Runner Up and Losing Semi Finalists from Saturday ‘A’ knockout are seeded for 4 x round Swiss System draw on the Sunday (do not face each other in first round).
- Originally planned precision shooting not part of weekend as not practical to include. Decisions on England selection for precision shooting at World Championships to be made by national coach via squad process.
Additional note relevant to both Men and Women SSE’s: Top six players from both Men and Women’s SSE Rankings offered initial international playing opportunity (part funded) in Brussels (August 27th & 28th 2022).
